Kingscourt, in the heart of Co. Cavan, is the venue for the annual Kingscourt Festival held every year on the August Bank Holiday weekend. We endeavour to provide a great weekend of entertainment for our community, young and old. From music to arts, sports to family fun, there's no end to the festivities you can join in on.

Dont be a Drag, Be a Drag Queen!! One of the highlights of the 2010 festival will Kingscourt's attempt to enter the Guinness book of records with the longest line of dancing Drag Queens! Kingscourt is looking for the best dressed queens to turn out for the event on the August bank holiday weekend! There will also be a competition for the best Queen and the "Queen of Kingscourt" will be crowned. Times and date to be announced. Details will be announced here!
Get your thinking caps on for the 2010 race! The Soapbox race is a race for amateur drivers, which is fueled by creativity and competitive fun - not to mention the need for speed. This unique non-motorized racing event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race.
